Alona, Speech Pathologist
Hi, I'm Alona, a Speech Pathologist passionate about helping children build the communication skills they need to thrive at home, at school and in the community. I bring a warm, relationship-first approach to every session, working closely with families to make therapy collaborative, practical and tailored to each child's goals.
I completed a double degree, a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Masters of Speech Pathology, at La Trobe University, graduating in 2019. Since 2020, I've worked exclusively in private practice, supporting children and families across a range of settings, including homes, schools, clinics and via Telehealth.
I believe meaningful therapy starts with strong relationships. I take the time to build genuine trust and rapport with every child, creating a supportive, engaging space where they feel safe, understood and motivated to learn. I work closely with families every step of the way, ensuring therapy is collaborative, practical and tailored to each child's unique strengths, needs and goals.
I have a particular passion for social communication and love helping children build the confidence and skills they need to form friendships, navigate social situations and communicate effectively in everyday life. My aim is always to deliver evidence-based, client-centred therapy that empowers every child to reach their full potential.

What parents are saying.
We have been incredibly fortunate to have Alona as Mackenzie’s speech therapist for over five years. She has played a significant role in Mackenzie’s journey, and we are deeply grateful for the support, care, and encouragement she has provided.
Alona has a remarkable ability to connect with Mackenzie, understand her individual needs, and make each session both engaging and meaningful. We have seen consistent, positive progress over the years, which we attribute greatly to her patience, expertise, and genuine dedication.
We highly recommend her to any family seeking a speech therapist who consistently goes above and beyond.
From our very first appointment we felt our daughter was truly understood, supported and cared for. Alona has made such a meaningful difference in Isla’s life and ours. She has been instrumental in developing Isla’s communication skills and building her confidence.
Alona is incredibly patient and kind. She will always take the time to understand our needs and provide clear and practical strategies that make a real difference. She is genuinely committed to helping Isla reach her goals and find her voice.
We are so grateful to have someone who wholeheartedly believes in Isla and celebrates every little achievement and most importantly never gives up. Thank you Alona.
Alona has been part of our lives since my son, Jude, was four years old. He was her very first client, and now, at 12, their relationship is something incredibly special.
Alona knows, loves and understands Jude in a way I have rarely experienced. She sees him for exactly who he is, believes deeply in what he is capable of, and knows how to motivate and challenge him just enough. Her patience, positivity and determination are second to none.
Over the years, Alona has built an extraordinary level of trust with Jude, and with me as his mum. She has celebrated every step forward, supported us through the difficult moments and remained one of Jude’s greatest champions.
Most incredibly, Alona taught my son to read. For a child who has had to work so hard for every milestone, that is a gift I will never be able to adequately put into words.
Alona is our biggest supporter, and we are hers. I will be eternally grateful that Jude was her first client and that, eight years later, she is still such an important part of his life.
